    truly tragic.
  • Randy · 1 year ago
    indeed.
  • Susan H · 1 year ago
Unfortunately, that's exactly how it is. :-( Even though you are sick I still smile at your humor, the vid, and this MUSIC! :-), ah, the drama of it all. You had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was coming next. ;-)

Hope you are better soon, my friend.
  • Julie · 1 year ago
Oh, the drama. I laughed. I cried. I sneezed.

    Get well, mom ami. Fin.

Sorry you're sick, Randy. :::passing the Benylin::: Are you sure you're not a singer by trade?
  • Nan Brown · 1 year ago
I feel your pain... and have been feeling it since Feb 16.... and I have some words of hope for you Water,Water, Water, Benydryl to force sleep, MUCINEX, Sucking candy (lifesavers, lemonheads, worthers originals) to ease the pain caused by the demon ripping your throat out.. and robitussin cough syrup with guaifenesen(sp), hot spiced tea, oh yes... and a good lip balm to ease the poor nose that uses up four boxes of tissue. ... um but ick don't use what is left on your lips... ewww. You will live... but you might not be able to speak above a whisper for several weeks.. Now.. don't you feel better??? : )
  • Randy · 1 year ago
Thanks Susan. I just had a thought that if I do a remix it has to include a foot popping up out of the middle of nowhere at some point.

I think it would add to the distillation of sorrow.

    :)
  • Randy · 1 year ago
laughing crying and sneezing were all goals so ... I feel a humble pride about it all.

Do you think this might be Oscar worthy?
  • Randy · 1 year ago
Thanks could you pass the kleenex too?

Singer? Where did that come from?
  • Randy · 1 year ago
Thanks for all the tips and suggestions.... but for some reason I am scared, not feeling better. :). I go home from DC tomorrow night and I hope to be able to get in to see my Doctor Friday. I have never had a cold or flu that took a WEEK a freakin' WEEK to settle in.

Nan...that just ain't right ... ya' hearin' me?

Last week, I thought it was a cold that would be over with by now but no. It's turned into something wholly different and deeply evil.

    :)

Randy, it is best that you do see your dr. I think I mentioned in my email last week that this flu can actually kill... my cousin's 18 year old perfectly healthy, athletic daughter caught it and died in 10 days.. I am not intending to scare you more.. God alone knows our time and hour.. but see the doctor.. the flu season is just taking hold in our part of the country and it is nothing to sneeze at.. (pun intended)... and wear a mask at work and in public.... whomever exposed you, may easily have exposed them too...no relapses for you.
  • Randy · 1 year ago
I completely understand. Plus, Melissa (my assistant) is pregnant. I hate that I even have to travel home tomorrow.

The flu season just sent Florida into the "red" flu alert a couple of weeks ago too. I think we were the last state to go on red. Every state in the union is "red" with the flu right now.

    It's horrible.

Singers are rather dramatic when it comes to colds and flu. Your dramatic presentation reminded me of my singers:)

What part of the country do you live in Nan?

I am so thankful that I haven't gotten the flu this season. Last I had it was in 1998 and I felt so bad I thought I might die. I called my parents telling them how I wanted my stuff distributed since I had no will.

I'm trying to stay well because I see my 89 year old Grandmother everyday and also my Dad who is currently under-going chemo. I tell my friends when we go see a movie that if we're near a cougher or sneezer that I'm moving.
  • Susan H · 1 year ago
Will you wear a mask when you fly?

Still hoping that you are over this thing soon. It's no fun. Do you like to be left alone when you are sick or do you like lots of attention and care? I guess if you make a vid and being the out-going person that you are I'd guess you like the attention? :-)

I live in Texas, Susan.. and because, like Florida, we have nice weather much of the year we don't spend as much time cooped up indoors with strangers like other parts of the country might... it has spread here... but since I live in a more or less suburban/rural area there is not the going to work in a factory or huge office to deal with either.. I have my grandkids and a pregnant daughter in my house at the moment so I do not want to share this with them.. My son in law, bless his heart, got it first and his ear drum ruptured.. he had the head part so badly.. I am a 38 year rheumatoid arthritis sufferer so my immune system is way less than perfect.. I think that is why I am now on my fourth week of symptoms.. However today they seem much less potent than yesterday.. Thank God.

Well, yeah... I am pretty dramatic when sick ... I don't really think you want me to sing anywhere except in my car and among hundreds or thousands of people.
  • Randy · 1 year ago
Well, I do like attention but not really in person. This does just fine. My Mom can see me expectorating mucus, coughing up a lung and whimpering. My future wife can too.
