  • Randy, you own a single family home don't you? I am assuming this based on the stories you've shared. When all the rain is over have a professional roofer::: you trust::: to check out your roof! You'd be amazed what constant wind and rain can do. It might save you $ in the long run. That's way too much rain, for me. I think being forced to listen to that for any extended period of time would cause me bounce off the walls! : ) Too bad we haven't the technology to pump all of that water up here!
  • That is a really good idea. Right before I left for the gym I counted three pretty good thumps of small tree limbs falling on my roof. I saw one actually bounce off into the yard.

    It's gotten a lot worse over the past couple of hours.
  • LOVE a lot of rain and really enjoyed your video. Some people pay a lot of money to see waterfalls. You are very blessed:)

    Has there been flooding?

    The season has begun to turn here. Leaves are changing colour and the air has that Fall bite to it. :::sigh::: :::stuffing cold feet into a very thick blanket::: Where's my book?
  • It started raining a little harder when I headed out to the gym. By the time I got to my third machine I looked outside and it was blowing wind horizontal non-stop. And, it's about an hour and half later and it hasn't stopped. I ran by the store for some misc. things ... and an umbrella :) and hit some really unexpected deep water on one of the side roads.

    Orange hospital just reported that their first floor just flooded and a huge sink hole is opening up about four or five miles north of me.

    Fay isn't boring any more.
  • I was so focused on the deluge I didn't respond to your fall like weather.

    SO ... jealous.
  • It's still not raining here in sunny California. No earthquakes, either :-P
  • Bad Ellie! Bad ... bad ... bad Ellie :-p ::: laugh :::
  • I hate the thought of my beautiful, lovely Orlando being pelted by constant heavy showers. How's it looking now?
  • It's looking awful. Now, I am north of Orlando and they just said that my area has seen a foot of rain *today* and Orlando is around the 7 inches of rain today. And seriously, they just warned us that another squall is headed this way with gusts up to 45 mph.

    Soooooooo ready for this to be done.

  • The first vimeo I had seen didn't quite make things look that bad. Over here in Vancouver, BC I've been hearing on the news that there's been an invasion of alagators on the streets!
  • Well, it wasn't that bad in my neighborhood but alligators have a mind of their own and will walk wherever they please. The flood waters just made it easier for them. I wouldn't call it an invasion but there has been an uptick in gator and snake sightings. Down here it is always a good thing to assume that gators are in any dark water body (can't see through the water.) They are ambush hunters.
