This post did not work w/ the new way you tried. But the 'Back to Disqus' thread from yesterday flowed much better under the new system. I guess it just depends.

Re: Authentic Blogging

I just fixed it to where the traditional oldest to newest sorting is in effect.

Re: Authentic Blogging

I am very confused by the order of these comments...

Re: Authentic Blogging

You didn't wreck the threads. I actually learned a few more of the tricks with Disqus.

Maybe they aren't compelling because you have already made up your mind to debunk them? I haven't read Benedict's writings so I can't speak to what he is saying. But I do know a lot of good people who are often wrongfully and maliciously attacked for their support of Prop 8.

As the post states, I am not really into discussing public policy in depth right now on my blog. I am not going to get into that debate with you.

Again, thanks for commenting.

Re: Authentic Blogging

It's all good. I truly didn't mean to wreck your thread. I just happen to see no compelling arguments in favor of voting Yes on Prop 8 and plenty of ugly ones coming from folks like Paul.

Re: Authentic Blogging

oh and apology accepted thank you for offering. My only response to him on that thread was

Thank you for weighing in Paul. I will check out your blog.

That's my only known interaction with him. Doesn't mean I haven't met him I just don't remember him in person and obviously didn't remember that he left a couple of comments a week or so ago. He might have left other comments but I don't remember. He must not be a regular commenter.

Re: Authentic Blogging

If I'm mistaken, my bad and I apologize.

But, didn't you have a discussion with Paul over at this thread on your own blog:

http://randythomas.org/2008/07/30/war-over-word...

Weird.

Re: Authentic Blogging

I just found Paul Benedicts bio (there are several Paul Benedicts by the way)

Paul writes his own bio (... and blog?) on Townhall.com ...

Normally, I am a mild-mannered educator in a small desert community. However, Supreme Court of California's activist ruling overturning Proposition 22 has inspired me to activism. I thought it might be a good start to take the Court's ruling apart to see what makes it tick. That's what I'm doing here through a series of articles. I've actually formed a "plan" if one can call it that. These are the series of things I'd like to see happen. 1) The passage of Proposition 8 (the Marriage is Marriage amendment in California) 2. The recall of the four Supreme Court Justice in support of the legal opinion in "re Marriages." Then I'd like to see if there is anything that can be done about the mess in Mass. Ultimately, I'd like to see more judges "impeached" or "recalled" for their failure to uphold the U.S. Constitution. Yep, that means "injecting" more politics into the Court process. The idea of wise philosopher king judges doesn't seem to have worked. If judges are going to behave like "super" politicians, then they can be driven from office like the pretentious rogues they are

If I ever met the man I don't remember.

Re: Authentic Blogging

I thought I was trying to be engaging.
