Personal Blog of Randy Thomas
Well, Disqus was pretty cool before but I decided to not use it because they had some issues and I didn’t fully understand what they are doing with the comments. I went back to using them today because they can sync all my comments with their servers and my admin interface. LOVE that.

It was, if you're wondering, that the reply field hid itself behind the sidebar and so I couldn't read half of every line I wrote. The other problem that I had was that once I wrote more than would fit into the reply field, I could't scroll around, so I had to hope that I didn't need to edit anything. But I can scroll now. It also stores all the comments on their system AND my own database. I should never lose them that way :).

Second. I just switched to Google's new Chrome browser to try it out (I am feeling like a highly adventurous, tech savvy English major, now) and I have concluded, once and for all, that the previous issues that I had with Disqus were completely browser related. This is because the Disqus comments look different in Firefox, IE 6 (we're up to 6, right?), and Chrome. So anybody in the future who has problems with the Disqus system should first viewing the blog in another browser, if they want the problem fixed.

IE is up to 7 something. I am on a Mac so I don't have Chrome. Is it not working right in Chrome?

I was using firefox which is something of a combo between IE and Safari, and Chrome seems pretty different from those three. I'm tentatively sold.
ETA: You know I just love my editing ;)
