Things that cause ponderous marveling from the window seat of a plane….
Looking out and down on a chain of thunderstorms with frequent lightning, night or day they are marvelous.
Flying over a solid cloud bank, at night, with a full moon.

    My favorite is lightning. There was a bunch on my last flight, but it was really infrequent and I kept catching it only from the corner of my eye.

    Steve Yeah... the runway is cool. Especially at take off as it wooshes by.

    Mike Orlando is the lightning capital of the world so I am sure there will be plenty of other opportunities.
