I have to disagree and kind of liked the ending line of "shoo" and didn't notice the repetitiveness.

knew the cop was the bad from the get go, too predictable. The editor should have given the authors a thesaurus/ how many times can you say that the locks on the doors are "engaged"?
very repetative/ not scary/ try Goosebumps. ending line of "shoo"? are you kidding me? crap!!

Guys, you've got to see the House, it's awesome! The characters are pretty good, especially Michael Madsen. The scenes inside the house are all creepy, unpredictable, full of surprise! I can't describe it more, pretty cool! Highly recommended to everyone!

Wow, another cool review of Dekker's book! I've been following reviews and comments of Dekker's and Perreti's books for quite sometime now, all I can say is that I'm pretty impressed! I'm also a fan to both geniuses.

BTW Randy, the House will actually be in theaters on November 7, several days from now. I've been waiting for this movie for such a loooong time! It'll be in more that 450 theaters, there's a list of cities at the House' official website, http://housethemovie.net or check out Dekker's site.

Sounds pretty good. Have you read the Circle Trilogy by Dekker (books: Black, Red, White)? They're pretty awesome, I had a hard time putting them down. I felt cool too 'cause I was reading Christian fiction and it was good (albeit corny occasionally and somewhat predictable, still very engaging). Check 'em out.

Thanks for this review, Randy. I was wondering about the book, having read Monster by Peretti. My poor brain is quite impressionable when it comes to gruesome, scary, and violent - I'm definitely prone to nightmares. Undecided as to whether or not I'll get the book, but glad for your informative review. Thanks, Randy!
