Wonderful post, Randy! I like the scenery as well. Yes, I realize the wind harmed the sound but I still thought it was neat.

Another great video. I also have started a weekly V-Cast and this week I mention Exodus....kind of in passing. Check it out, I'd love your feedback.

That happened to me at first, and then I figured out that I just needed to be patient because it takes time to download. After a few minutes it will work :)

Stacy. I couldn't get your v-cast to load :(. I am sure it was great but don't know what to do to get it to load.

It did work. I'm not so good with patience.

I like your spinning graphics, breaks to indicate topic shifts and music. What editing software did you use?

Other constructive feedback because you asked for it ... Environment = stark hallway. Warm it up :) Also, (I can hear my media coaches voice in my head) no pointy fingers.

I get in trouble big time when I point on camera.

People, in general, always (whether they agree or not) do not like to be pointed at. And finally, the file size. That had to be one monster file for it to have taken so long to load. Try saving it as an MP4 (iPod version) if you can. My five minute videos uncompressed run close to 100-110 megs. In the MP4 compression it drops to 25-30 megs and really doesn't lose any quality. Now, I do LIKE the vividness of the video and would hate to lose that but I don't think most people would notice.

I like that you obviously had this thing planned and used your time efficiently to cover a lot of topics. I have no doubt that the more you do the more comfortable you will get.

Stacy, who is your target audience? Do you visualize your audience as you did this presentation?

    Hi Randy,
This is the first time I have been back since last week. Thank you for your great feedback...except today we did film in the hallway again - it's meant to be funny, but well, maybe it's not :)
My husband used Serif Movieplus 4 to do the editing, and it was his music we used also.
The pointy fingers is a good observation, :), and since I already filmed this weeks edition I am not sure if I did it yet, as of the time of this writing we haven't edited it yet.
My target audience is anyone who cares to know about news and culture from a Christian worldview, and ya know, it never even occurred to me to visualize my audience! I'm such a novice.
About the size, it was HUGE, we're going to install Quicktime and try to make it a lot smaller, and I think that will make more people watch and people will enjoy it more. We also cut the time in half to about 3 minutes, instead of 6.
This week, I mock American Idol sort of :), give some news from Anne Graham Lotz and also mention a new book I want people to read. Since we are cutting the time, I had to file some stuff out. Your feedback is valuable. I had over 100 views last week, and very little feedback, so maybe this week will be better. I hope...
    Thanks!

Okay, I'm back again. I have our new video uploaded at my site and also at blip.tv if you'd like to send me your feedback again. I used Video Egg, like you :), and that is very helpful.

The only thing I still can't figure out is how to have it show my image so it's not a black screen.
Btw, I'll be sending you a link to my new site :) Writing Right is dead - I killed it.
