I always seem to get lucky with press coverage and the like, and I know that “fame” is just a consequence of certain events (you probably do, too, Randy). I enjoy having a good reputation, but I think that is different from fame, which, while it spawned from reputation, has negative connotations now with what passes as “journalism”. I think today, people seek fame without having done the hard work first, or they are riding off something they did a long time ago and the goodwill has passed—some socialites spring to mind. It is better to try to earn that reputation first, and leave its “evolution” to fame in God’s hands.

After 9 years in radio in Los Angeles, I can't even begin to list the people I've met.
Some were nice, some were cold, I will say that Dawn Wells was one of the nicest people I've ever met in my life.
    Keanu Reeves was nice.
    Rodney Dangerfield was a jerk.
Tammy Faye Messner (Baker) was seriously THE sweetest person on the planet. I had the pleasure of actually witnessing her talk to Jessica Hahn for the first time ever since the scandal. Tammy was a guest on our show and Jessica, who was a friend of the show called in to apologize. We made headlines with that show (Access Hollywood ran the tape and interviewed us).
I also met ever 90210 kid right when the show was first coming on. They all came to us to promote it. Every single one of them was nice. Luke Perry was a bit quiet but I think it was just because he was more shy than anything else.

When I lived in LA I met a lot of celebs. Bruce Dern, Heather Locklear, Kurt Cameron. I once met Kareem in an elevator and asked him for an autograph and he said "no". I met Nicolas Cage in Maryland.
I have some 'sort of famous' friends now and I think it is wierd that some people are thought of in that way when they are just regular people w/ some talent.

I have to admit, I get starstruck very easily. I love meeting famous people! Thats a great picture, Randy.
My star sightings- my mom was engaged to Jacklyn Smith's cousin.
Same fiancee was best friends with Billy Givens of ZZ TOP (did I spell his name right)?
    Sadly, that's about it ;-)
