I haven't gotten a haircut since I was twelve, just trims. And now not even trims (although I might take two inches off to get rid of all my splits, and then re-swear off trims). Yay, long hair!

Thank you...I've seen long hair (really long hair...) that looks good on guys, and I'd link to pictures of them, but thelonghaircommunity had some kind of issue when they updated their message boards, so all of the archives are out of commission until further notice (plus I don't know if I could pull off a link).

well... as fascinating as that would be... it will suffice to take your word for it.
You don't have the face for it or the attitude of a longhair, so I guess it doesn't matter. I've just stared at some beautiful hairsticks, so now I need to exercise some self-control over my wallet...

Yeah, after trying to grow my hair out (long time ago) around four different time... it doesn't get "long" per se. It just gets really Hobbit'ish and huge (very thick.)

I am imagining some of the guys on the basketball team of Chadwick (rich school by the beach that was in my high school's sports league) who had these giant blonde manes flopping about their heads. I guess they all spent so much time surfing they didn't have any left to comb out their hair. I think that might be pretty close to your hair type. My hair used to be a more controlled version of that, because my mom insisted on short (short short) hair. I finally convinced her I looked like a boy and started growing it out, but it took about two years before it was actually presentable enough to go out in public. Of course I had to go out in public anyway, but now I have 35 1/4 inches of lovely long hair (and I look like a girl), so the intermediary stage was worth it.
