Are the activists you refer to (ostensibly those who facilitate GSAs) trying to create activists who are bitter or activists, who by their very nature, are bitter? Is it possible to advocate for LGBT equality without being bitter? I'm not sure what you meant and the phrasing, for me, was confusing.

Thanks (in advance) for the clarification!

Re: GSA = Gay Student Activist

Well, it might play into the minds of anti-gay people but they are going to use whatever to play upon.

I think that I probably would be offended if someone said that about Christians introducing children to Christ but at the same time if the person saying that actually believed that, I wouldn't try to convince them to use a different word. I would explain my position of how it isn't the same and leave it at that.

I do believe that some activist groups are trying to indoctrinate children with a worldview and turn them into bitter activists before they even know who they truly are or want to be in life.

On a sidenote, I appreciate your comments. I am a blogger... I totally try to get "bait" people to respond. That's part of the thing man :) !

The only thing I don't want to do is manipulate people into responding or commenting.

Re: GSA = Gay Student Activist

Hey Randy. Hope all is well. So, I'll take the bait and bite on this one (well, not that you were trying to bait me, but at first I was going to not comment and now I'm back commenting...).

I feel like the word "indoctrinating" that you use is too strong of a word. It comes with a lot of negative connotations for me, and I think it plays into the minds of anti-gay people, maybe even playing into the old "recruiting our children because gays can't reproduce" theory.

I guess to be more clear--if you heard someone say that Christians were trying to indoctrinate our children as young as possible to trick them into believing in religion (and yes, I admit I have heard some people say that), would you repond negatively to it?
