Randy, I heard about a year ago or so about a "mom on strike." She was complaining that her family took her for granted and she went on strike to make a point.

I can't imagine what would cause someone to want to go national about their family issues...

The sick thing is that there will be enough MSM outlets to pick up this story … and I agree with you, Ryan. This guy needs to take some responsibility for the state of his home as well.

It's the comment, "Be glad you have a roof to go to," that cracks me up. The other amusing thing is the adds for a dating site and wedding services. Not the most likely blog to inspire weddings, I'd think. :)
I suspect this is mostly a humourous, gimicky sort of thing. The picture of the bed he's "complaining" about, for one thing, is staged. The items are laid out in a regular, patterned, manner, there are no baby wipes on the bed, and the diapers are suspiciously pristine.
We the public, my friends, are being taken for a good-natured ride. (I suspect his wife has an excellent sense of humour and that they're getting a kick out of all the well-meaning advice and snarly remarks on his blog.)
    ...I hope.

The news report said the guy is a marketing kind of guy as a profession. That and the fact that he is very available to do interviews lets me know that it is more than just a family issue.
I guarentee you he is fishing for a reality spot or book or something.
I don't have much sympathy for him and feel bad for his kids. I have to admit, it is amusing ... to a point.

Good point Cindy. If they are doing it just for fun to see what happens... I can appreciate that more. I like that comment about the roof too. ::: smile :::

True, Cindy. I could be wrong and his family fully knows and is in on the gag. Thank you for thinking of the positive side of this first.

Hi Laura, thank you for your comment. I deleted the personal information only because I don't feel comfortable in publishing that here. If there are any MSM (Mainstream Media) stories exposing those facts I would be glad to link to that.

And I have verified that indeed, the site is down.

Thank you for stopping by and sharing what you know.

I am a mother of 3 grown children, a grandmother of 2 children, I work full time just as hard as my husband has for many many years and we both need a good nights sleep. But we would bring our child into our bedroom for the first week when they were born when they came home from the hospital. After that, they were always put in their own baby crib in the kids room. I always got up during the night and tended to their needs. THEY WILL SURVIVE. You change em, feed em, burp em, and put them back to bed. On occasion I would let them in our bed when they had a bad night such as a bad dream or very very sick. Those type of exceptions are a definite need not a want. There is a BIG difference and this lady is letting her kids run her house. She needs to remember that she is the parent and needs to take charge of the home. She would definitely have a better relationship with her husband and her kids will respect her just the same if not more in the years to come. My kids and grandkids are living proof. I hope this helps. Let me know if you receive this message or reply if you would like.

Well, I am not a parent so I am not even going to go there. I am a man who has friends who are good husbands and good wives. I have to tell you, the fact that we are even talking about this families issues all over the internet ...

That is just wrong. If it is a fun gag he and his wife are trying out... fine. If it is for real, I'll say it again, he needs a therapist, not a blog.

Thank you for stopping by Alice. I hope you come back often.
