Intense Debate

Happy Halloween (or Harvest … don’t want to offend) and here is a treat.
A while ago I mentioned switching to a new comment system that was just acquired by the folks at Wordpress. I use Wordpress to run this blog. I finally got the invitation code!

    Ok... I had it with Intense Debate. Disqus was always much better with their support. Once ID gets their act together I might try again but ... what a headache.

    Now... to figure out how to get the ID comments back in here.

    Hi Michael,

    I was having duplicate comments reported here and only half of my comments imported. Also, there seemed to be a cookie problem as well.

    I loved that you came here to follow up. It does sort of speak to another issue that I was concerned about (not upset) which was your customer service folks. No one has answered any of the above questions over at "getsatisfaction.com"

    I love Intense Debate's look and feel but it was starting to take over my weekend with problems. I really don't need that. I know since Automattic has acquired you all that it should be a good fit but I am not seeing it yet.

    If you want to fix it with my blog ... great. I just don't want to lose comments or have downtime for my commenters.

    ID has potential, maybe they'll get their act together eventually. At least the blog posts from ID came back :)

    I'm using this to make a not of the fact that according to the Disqus side bar, Randy has made 523 posts, and I have made 294.

    And I think that is just on Disqus. Cause out of over 7600 comments... I know I have made more than that.

    Actually, my point was that it is no longer counting. You have just made two more comments since I wrote that, but it still says 523. I actually noticed that it was stuck on 294 for me a few days ago. So there's something screwy going on.
