That water looks absolutely nasty! It didn't smell did it? Hey, was Blaine at the Freedom Conference in Ridgecrest?
  • Randy · 1 year ago
No, it didn't smell but I didn't get in it. Yes, even though the main subject of the conference is not something he deals with, he is a friend who went.
  • silversurferswave · 1 year ago
I thought that was him! He sat near Erika and I during some of the services... Cool :) Can I ask, here, what you think about the Obama / Biden ticket?
  • Randy · 1 year ago
    You can ask ...

I think the Biden pick was a gift to the Republicans as far as propaganda is concerned. I think it also shows that a man who prides himself on having good judgment just made a big mistake. Even if he wins I believe he will regret asking Biden to be his VP.

I never noticed how much of an accent you had before... :)

That water is icky. Actually there is a pond behind our house with icky water in it, and this looks like it matched the level of ickiness. Three-eyed perch swim in our pond, I bet that's the kind of fish that swims in that water too. :::wrinkles nose:::

I meant "you have, before." The tense in that first sentence is rather botched.
  • Randy · 1 year ago
My accent gets thick when I am relaxed. I'm alright with that ... southern through and through.

Normally that lake isn't that bad but it also serves as a resevoir so it has all this extra crap in it right now... I have never seen it flood like that before. I even lived closer to that park in 2004 during the hurricanes and don't remember it being that bad.

I pray you are safe from the three eyed perch.
  • B.T.Carolus · 1 year ago
The three-eyed perch are only dangerous if you go fishing for them...which my brother has been known to do. Our pond is also a resevoir, but it is always and only a resevoir, so it is always filled with ickiness. Actually, it is part of the Rio Hondo River, but the Army Corps of Engineers turned it into a resevoir when they cemented in all of the rivers in Southern California (to protect us from flooding).

I like the accent. I just never noticed it before. Which I'd think I would've, what with all the videos you post. You can be southern all you want.

Wow - glad that you're doing O, Randy. (And yes, Blaine was being very gross by touching that water!) Last Christmas I went canoeing at Silver River / Silver Spriings - wonder how that area has been w/ the floods?
  • Debra · 1 year ago
Um, why does my face look like a blank-stare box here? I know some people think that I'm a square, but, really - that's a bit much.

Silver Springs is going to be my next place to kayak. I don't know how they are doing but I imagine they got hit about like we did here in North Orlando (15+ inches.)
  • Blaine Stone · 1 year ago
Debra, I was not being 'gross', I was being adventuresome :)
  • Randy · 1 year ago
Don't listen to him Debra. Look at the water ... gross. Adventure? Yes an adventure into the gross unknown.
  • Cheryl · 1 year ago
Glad you guys are okay, Randy. It flooded badly here a few years ago and I remember being struck by the power it had to change the landscape.

I hope there will be concerts in that park again.
  • Randy · 1 year ago
    Yes, nature is ... amazing.

I have no doubt that there will be concerts there again ... I miss the ducks and the turtles. Don't know where the ducks went but the turtles are probably enjoying the expansion of territory.
  • Cheryl · 1 year ago
Well, a bunch of ducks will be leaving here shortly. Perhaps they will end up in your pond:)
  • Randy · 1 year ago
I don't think your ducks will make it this far. But I will keep a look out.

You two are so fun. Randy I love your laugh and nice shots of your buddy, Blaine. :) I know this video is about Crane's Roost but I have to admit I enjoyed the commentators more.
  • Randy · 1 year ago
your nice. Blaine is a good sport but needs to not get in yucky water.
