ETC: Everyday Thoughts Collected: Movie Review: The X-Files, “I Want to Believe”

Sounds like I'll go see The Black Knight tomorrow, and wait for the TV show to come out on TV (Wait, I don't have a television... Oh well.).

    Blessings!

The Dark Knight was a great flick too :). I want to see it *again* before I even try to attempt to review it. It is amazing.

Yup. Go see it and let me know what you thought about it. I would be interested in fellow x-file fan reactions.

OK, I didn't read the movie review, but was inspired by a line in your blog to comment :)

Yesterday, Roy & I were perusing the little downtown area where we live, and a store had a tank top that said "This is how I roll" on it with an image of a huge roll of toilet paper :)

The X-files used to be filmed in my home town.

I had a lot of fun with the crew!

I met Scully and her daughter Pipper (at the time Pipper barely started to walk...) what a little girl Pipper was...man, that was a long time ago. At the time I was in High school and would often skip school to watch them film.

One time I even walked past security into the extra's tent and had coffee and snacks with one of the main extra's I had befriended.

Another friend of mine had acted on the show and we watched unedited versions of X-files on home video's....we got to see the bloopers! They were actually better then what had orginally made the cut.

I think X-files had always been an interesting show. I hadn't known about this movie but I'd have to say the X-files First Season is probably better then other seasons. I don't know about this movie, perhaps I won't be watching it. The review doesn't make me want to go see it.

    @Sarah -
It's awesome that you got to see the making of X-files first hand. Great memories I am sure. I am a little jealous. Once again, I loved the series.

The bottom line is that the script writers seemed to have exchanged the conspiracies of the TV show for just about *every* controversial thing out there today. When throwing all that controversy together, I wonder if they were hoping no one would then notice that the only X-Files–esque element of the case was a person who claimed psychic ability. Aside from that, it was a crime/mystery drama that, in my opinion, should not have had "The X-Files" name applied to it.

(And I see you're using CommentLuv... Check out this post on how to make it blend seamlessly into Thesis.)

@Rick Beckman - I agree with you that much was left to be desired for it to be thorough x-files. However, the double headed monster dogs, illegal organ harvsting and full body transplants are the stuff of conspiracy nightmares ... that's definitely x-file-ish.

Thanks for the help on Comment Luv. I will try it out later when I have time to jack around the css and stuff. I am not a geek but know enough to be dangerous.

@Randy - Okay, yeah, I suppose that is true about the medical freakishness of it all. :)

May I ask what you are using for the "Reply - Quote" functionality?

@Rick Beckman - :) . Sure ... I use the WP Comment Remix plugin. It adds a lot of functionality inside the admin panel.

If you have any suggestions or thoughts on how to make it prettier, I would love to hear it.
