Yeah, my introverted tendency has made pictures of me really hard to find but I've been thinking about what to do about that both for my blog and for disqus and for twitter as well. Hopefuly sooner then later.

Well, I was in pre-jury duty mode. So it was boring not the stress of an actual trial. But, I am glad for my extroverted tendencies so I wasn't bored.

And hey ... your emotionless grey icon looks JUST LIKE Chas' and Brady's. :). That's a hint to add some sort of picture to your Disqus profile :) ... please.

I guess I figured it out but posting as Rainbowjaneygirl instead of just Janey but feel free to just call me Janey. :)

Anyways... I was reading on twitter that you were on jury duty and I'm not sure but I think it takes talent to be able to have fun or create a fun experience out of it all.

I've heard that jury duty is a pretty stressful thing....

haha nope, but almost all of us had to hold back from laughing at the one witness...she was not a good witness for the defense, we could obviously tell she was lying with some of the crazy things she was saying.

OOhhh but the prosecutor. wow. what an actor! haha she would sit there and roll her eyes REEAALLLL big and look at us and shake her head.. lol. it was great.

I think actually being ON the jury would be fun... It's the waiting around for the better part of a day that is boring (unless you make your own fun.) I can't believe you haven't been called.

Yup, one timesheet for each 2 week period for almost 2 years, stealing over $100k of Medicaid money. It was really interesting to sit and watch from our perspective, it was similar to watching an episode of Law & Order. Lots of "Objection!" and "Over ruled" haha. It was very interesting to be apart of and I'm glad I got to do it.

That was very educational Ellie :-) . Growing up we had an older female collie mix who was very calm. We also had two more dogs at the same time: a male Siberian Huskey and a small but full of herself mutt. I really loved those dogs.

That is really good experience. ... Did she forge one time sheet for each week?

That is also what happened today. They called one group out of the main group and they got all the jurors they needed from that one sub group.

And seriously, jury duty is a very big deal and really our best way to engage the judiciary. Plus, it directly impacts our neighbor's lives to bring about justice.

I got to surve on jury duty. In fact, my first time, I was in the first group to go up to the courtroom, and was picked in the first group to be on the jury. I even got to vote guilty for the lady like 122 times (forging a timesheet for 2 weeks counted as 2 counts of forgery....fun fact). Anyways, it was an interesting experience, one that I was proud to be apart of.

I would, but the two I have right now are sisters from the same litter. If I were gonna get one more (I should say we, 'cause it's my whole family) I would get a boy, preferably already three or four years old (or else we could wait another year and train a new puppy).

We actually made a mistake by getting two females (especially the same age). Basically, two female dogs will fight all the time (hence the reason that other word is a swear word), especially as pups, unless there is a really clear divide between the dominant and submissive dog. It's best to have a male-female mix, or else two males. If you have the mix, they male will almost automatically establish dominance, and if you have the two males, they will fight it out quickly. The other thing you can do is have a long age span between them.

I have two labs...they're both turning two at the end of March (and labs stay puppies until they're three). See Mensley's excellent recent article for an explanation of how having two labs is possible. Although, with labs the breeding has gotten so bad that, unless you really know your breeder's dogs or are willing to really *really* train it (which includes putting in training time for at least a year), I wouldn't get a lab.

And I still think you would've made a great impression on the judge as Eva ;-)
