ETC: Everyday Thoughts Collected: New Study Finds Abortions can Lead to PTSD

When I saw this study I thought to myself, "that actually sounds like common sense to me." I agree that I think the pro-choice crowd often ignores the huge emotional impact that results from an abortion.

Yes, this does make a lot of sense especially in this type of situation. The womb producing new life is a wonderful mystery that transcends the mother herself. For that to be violated in such a brutal manner ... ::: sigh ::: it will be traumatic no matter what the justifications were for her to do this.

Perhaps that explains the cold militancy often found of those who try to justify the killing of the unborn.

Yes, in abortion women are doing something so completely unnatural for a woman and for a mother. We have the instinct to protect, vehemently protect, and nurture the life within us. In order to destroy the life, we have to completely detach from the truth of the matter and from any maternal love that may already be there and all the emotions, etc., that go along with detaching and going against nature. That would be traumatic.
