  • I think that article is pretty right on. It reminds me of a headline from The Onion a few years ago that read something like "Gay Pride Parade Reinforces Gay Stereotypes"

    I think I'll go on a solo camping trip during this years' Pride -get out of town and clear my head.

  • Well, if it was written by The Onion you know it was probably merciless. Personal retreats are a great thing. I finally started taking them the past couple of years and HIGHLY recommend them any time of the year. It's good to get away and be able focus on Him and just relax.

  • Not only does it often reinforce stereotypes, I think as with any cause (look at Obama and his preacher), you often find party crashers who think that their more progressive or borderline questionable interpretation of a cause is that of the core message. (Sorry don't know how to word it better then that.)

  • Well, I guess any group of 3+ people will have a struggle to agree with mission and purpose. We are human after all.
