O.J. Simpson Off To Jail … for a long time

Started by Randy · 9 months ago

Are we surprised? A couple of thoughts after the jump …

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (CNN) — Former gridiron great O.J. Simpson was found guilty Friday of all 12 counts in the armed robbery of two sports memorabilia dealers at a Las Vegas, Nevada, casino hotel last year ... Continue reading »

  • The one thing that stands out to me the most about this verdict is the timing. Did you read where yesterday's verdict was handed down exactly 13 years to the date of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown's murders? 13 years too late, imo.
  • I knew it was 13 years but I didn't register that it was to the date. It's very weird huh?
  • Sorry, I had that wrong. Yesterday was actually 13 years to the date that Simpson was acquitted of the double-murder, not the date of the actual crime. Even more uncanny!
  • wow... ::: uncanny is the perfect word ::: ... sheesh!
  • Randy, you brought up some interesting points there with no African American people on the jury and if the glove fits any of the guy's OJ was running with during this robbery. These are interesting questions and one would hope to re-open the double murder case because I think some new evidence could likely surface with OJ being found guilty of the robbery.

Did you also notice that OJ also ran with the "I've been set up by some con-man who wants my money" line.... anyways, does that sound at all familiar to the double murder case?

    One would have to wonder.

I saw that one man mentioned the 13 year mark.... He said, "it's earie and possibly somebody sending a very loud message...." Perhaps if OJ spends the rest of his life in prison with no chance of parole Justice to some degree is still surved.

I can only speculate at best but I would think if a man is found guilty with armed robbery with a gun could it not be possible that he'd have it in him to commit those murders?

I think given the nature of the robbery I wouldn't be surprised if they re-open the double-murder case and find OJ and his buds guilty of that as well.
  • I don't think OJ had a gun on him ... it was one of the other guys. He said he didn't know they had a gun. The presence of the gun ups the ante on the charges and if he didn't know... the punishment would be easier and/or the charges minimized to possibly robbery and not armed robbery.

BUT... dude knew there was a gun. I hope that jail will lead OJ to the point of being completely truthful and to meet Christ in a way that will bring eternal justice (forgiveness / redemption) and not just earthly.

  • Wow. How did I miss this news?? Glad I caught your post. I know we all want to see justice done, but like you said, O.J. needs to meet Christ in that jail cell. If so, maybe a full confession will follow. He'll have a long time to face his skeletons. Let's pray for the man.
  • Hi Vicki. Definitely praying for him ... and all the victims, and perps, of the crimes he is associated with.

  • Some of us are not seeing the "big picture" re; Simpson. regardless of his money, fame and opportunity, he has proven himself to be an arrogant, un-repentant thug. He is in fact, a danger to our society, and deserves incarceration. He has become an anti-hero to some and a god to others.

Perhaps if he had butchered OUR child alive, we would get the message.

For those who do not accept his guilt, you are either racist, ignorant of the facts, or just plain stupid.
  • wow ... 1st paragraph I am tracking with you ... 2nd paragraph, shocking but still tracking ... third paragraph wasn't necessary. Please refrain from calling people stupid ignorant racists if they don't agree with you.
