Hey! The humidity isn't that bad even though you never have to iron ... just walk outside and the wrinkles will fall out on their own.

The weather is perfect this time of year though.

AND if you do come during the summer ... go to the beach. The beaches always have a breeze....It's inland that gets steamy.

If you like those crowded noisy urban areas that just go on and on and on where life is mostly cement concrete asphalt metal paint glass heat noise traffic, then by all means visit SF Bay Area and LA Megopolis....in the summertime you could visit Mt Lassen, Lake Tahoe, the Great Sequoia Trees at Sequoia National Park, Calaveras Big Trees, and if you don't mind a few crowds and noise, Yosemite Valley. Only go to Florida if you like to be wetter after you dry off after a shower than you were in the shower. And if you do go to Florida, definitely do NOT go in the summer! I'd have to visit Death Valley afterward just to recover from the humidity.

Nooooooo.... they got flying things and floating things and things that run on tracks and big bus things. It's worth every step...

for about once a year and one day for each of the FOUR parks.

Plus, we got 2 Universal studio things and 2 Sea World things and yes we even have WAY more beach front than California.

If you can ignore the brain colonizing amoebas in the same ponds as the alligators... you're cool.

Florida has mosquitoes, humidity, and very dangerous alligators...alligators eat tourists all the time! Avoid Florida, come to California. And visit me!

Oh, if you do get all the way down here, there's Disneyland, Hollywood, the Norton Simon, the Getty, the Disney Concert Hall, skiing (in our mountains) and day trips out to Palm Springs, the desert, and San Diego for the Wild Animal Park. You could come in late December for the Rose Parade, too, which is totally amazing.

Yep, definitely come to California.

ETA, I forgot the beach. Of course you can go to the beach. And we could go out on a sailboat. Or to Catalina Island, which is always fun.

California, of course! Redding has a great restaurant called Lumberjack's that serves pancakes all day (mmm!). Plus if you ever drive down you can stop off at Grant's Pass in Oregon for some dutchbrother's coffee. And there's always Lake Shasta. If you go to Frisco, drive down to San Jose to visit the Tech (great hands on science museum), and don't forget the Japanese Gardens. You can see the aquarium at Monterey. And you should visit a mission.

It's a beautiful day where I live!! The sun is shining, it's extremely windy but nevertheless the sun is out!!!! Yeah!!!!

No snow, hardly ever get any snow even though most people in the US have thought at least once in their life time that perhaps us Canadians live in igluse... for the simple fact that I don't even know how to spell that word right should be a very good indicated that we don't live in those ice-house thingy's. Actually, Vancouver, BC has the most ideal wheather across Canada. And so I don't complain. I would though like to see more snow although experiences less slush.

Where would I go? Perhaps land somewhere in the US! I've only been to Point Roberts, Blaine, and Seattle and since I live only a 2 hour drive away from Seattle that's not really where I'd like to go. I'd like to go somewhere I otherwise wouldn't go. I think I'd like to skip Washington State altogether since I'm basically next door.

I've always thought I'd like to see San Francisco .... perhaps travel around California. Oooh! I'd like to go to Redding California. Sorry I'm a bad speller but do you know the place I'm talking about? Bill Johnson is the Pastor at Bethel and I'd like to visit that church. He's an amazing preacher! I'm not sure how long it would take for me to travel there but since I'd be flying over time zones...would that increase my time to fly?

Anyways... just a question here?

What would be the best State to visit in the US?

There are plenty of places where this would be safe to try... are the moving sidewalks at Universal close enough together? I can't remember. In any case, I must do this.

As for this one-time, one-way, 6-hour flight, what is my speed limit? Can I drive somewhere else and start from there? I'd probably want to fly around some dramatic mountains somewhere and then safely land in a little town where I could hitch a ride home.

Those are all great. Your flying to the Carolina's reminded me of the Rockies. I would love to fly over the Rockies. OR fly from the Carolina's up through the Northeast and New England when the leaves are changing in the fall.
