Alright, breathe: in, out, in, out. Just remember that soon the wall paper will be just a funny memory you can laugh about.

That picture looks like some of the stuff I have seen at MOCA (the Museum of Contemporary Art). I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not. hmmm.

Yes. It is actually done. The whole place was done with serious industrial wall paper except for that one room. Meaning you could literally rip the other wallpaper off in big long sheets. This was itty bitty strips at a time.

I am sure you saw something like that as contemporary art. I thought it was great grungy texture and am tempted to play around with it in my photo software. It's a good thing if it is appreciated for what it is ... unique random textures symbolic of the destruction of vanity :). It is a bad thing when artists get all artsnobbish about it.

You're cursing this man too?!? I spent almost 4 hours tearing out the wallpaper in my parents kitchen today, the whole time thinking, "if 3M made wallpaper adhesive, I would not be having this struggle!" GAH.

I tried the funky roto cutter.
I tred the gooey roll on blue stuff.
I tried water and a sponge.
I combined the above 3 methods in every way known to man.

Suffice it to say my house will have NO wallpaper in it. Just paint applied in different techniques. The beauty of paint is that YOU NEVER HAVE TO TAKE IT OFF. I'll be back at it tomorrow... pray for me :D

@Matt V - I hate to laugh but ... I am so glad to not be alone with this hostility toward someone who probably got rich off of creating misery for others!

I'll pray for you... and you pray for us ... k? :) good to see you Matt.

I will not giggle. I will not guffaw. I will not chortle. IwillnotlaughIwillnotlaughIwillnotlaugh.

    .......

    Failure. Utter failure.

You have a gift for finding or making humor in frustrating situations. Just one of the many things I appreciate about you.
