Started by Randy · 10 months ago

I am so glad someone finally asked. Jay writes …

So my dear Facebook friend - you asked recently if “we” had any suggestions for blog topics. Could you do a blog on why they make packets of hot dogs with 8 and yet they make packs of hot dog buns with 6. It le ... Continue reading »

  • The inability to achieve correct hot dog to bun ratios based on the unfair packaging practices of the HDI is indeed a grave injustice that harms the American consumer. Clearly we should call on the HDI to rectify this egregious wrong. And, it being an election year, the presidential candidates from each party should be pressured to take a strong stance against unfair hot dog packaging.
  • You are absolutely correct. And every day the campaigns ignore the plight of the average American Hot Dog eater, we inch toward oblivion.

It's time to end our hot dog addiction and become fast food independent.

Am I taking this too far :). I still want my pizza.
  • Technically, I don't think most pizza can be classified as "Fast Food." Therefore, I feel you are quite safe in this regard.

However, I do wish this topic had been presented to Pastor Warren before Labor Day, and certainly before the Saddleback Conference.

Now, I'm pretty sure Biden is in with those HDI Execs, I mean, pork barrel spending and all.... But not sure where Palin stands and I know McCain is agains, as he sends me mail all the time representing Citizens Against Government Waste!

Whew! LOVE the inclusion of pork barrel spending. Very compelling point ChaplianChas :).

  • Get around this by having two special "double dogs". After all i normally end up eating all six rolls if i am hungry.
  • Packaging Suplier, it's funny to see your comments and read this older post, because two nights ago my wife and I watched "Father of the Bride", in which an irate Steve Martin goes postal over this very issue. His solution was to rip open two 6 bun packages, make a new package of 8, throw the excess buns back onto the display shelf, seal up the newly formed package and try to buy it at a reduced rate. When told this isn't permissable, he launches into a truly funny tirade about the HDI conspiracy, for which he lands himself in jail. Haven't a clue how we got on this topic, but I like it.
  • Thanks for reminding me of "Father of the Bride" Such a fantastic film. I think i have watched it 10 times and Steve Martin always has me in stitches.

Hope you and your wife are fine.
  • Hey PS... Thanks for chiming in.
  • I know... I think there is something about the new theme that makes it easier for older posts to be found. It's kind of fun.
