Ok ... I know that commenting is like the wild wild west. I am sure you are a good person and I wasn't coming down on you ... but it is a personal thing... someone once imitated me in a similar manner and I didn't appreciate it. I doubt Benny would ever see your comment. He might even think it is funny.

Plus, I haven't been in a great mood today. Forgive me. :)

Agreed. It is couched with compassion but I believe that underneath it there is an elitist and possibly a "celebrity" type element to it. The "look at me, I worked the system and am getting mine" syndrome.

Speaking of sick, I had a person tell me that the reason I was sick for the past two weeks is because I didn't believe God wanted me well.

This is awesome. Makes me want to look more into Piper. I just saw this on my friend's blog and left a comment using the name "Benny Hinn." The comment was short: "blasphemy!" ;)

I've always thought that the prosperity gospel is very much in danger of re-introducing an old weakness of Western Christianity, which is believing that the poor or sick are bad people getting what they deserve from God.

Couldn't agree more with this video. I've been doing a lot of infomral research lately on the prosperity gospel and the word of faith movement, and not only are they blasphemous and heretical, which hurts my heart, but it is spiritualy abuse, with the ones weakest, poorest, and sickest amoung us receiving the most harm, which makes me ANGRY.
