ETC: Everyday Thoughts Collected: Romney Drops Out

McCain to me just doesn't seem like a Republican representative. He has no problem leaning way over to the very liberal Democrats and joining with them in their issues. I don't know of very many conservative issues, if any, that McCain has headed up (but that doesn't mean he hasn't but he's certainly not shouting from the rooftops, proud about them). The line is real blurry. Some say that is a good thing. I'm concerned but going to try and not worry about it.

I'd rather see a former governor in the White House than a former Senator. Okay, again, going to try and not worry about it.

Hey Susan, If McCain ends up being the nominee I will vote for him because he will represent more of what I value than the Democrat nominee. That said, I don't like McCain. I don't trust him, I worry about his temper. He is not a statesman. He is a political bomb thrower and I am just not buying into the idea that an old white establishment guy is going to beat a Obama-Clinton ticket.

Don't worry about it but definitely pray :).

So, then I speculate that McCain might choose Romney for a running mate and THAT ticket doesn't support MY values. I wouldn't think that Huckabee would be the natural choice; however, Huck shares MOST of my values.

    What about Huckabee and Romney?

Randy, Huckabee and Romney on the same ticket? No way! Most voters would feel that such a ticket was too "religously" top-heavy. It will almost surely be McCain/Huckabee or McCain/some other acceptable evangelical.

Hi Nick. I agree. I just wanted to see what people would say to that far out possibility. :)
