This story hit home. My dad had a seizure 15 years ago and within hours was diagnosed with a fist-sized brain tumor. He was fortunate that it was non-malignant and operable, but it came back aggressively 18 months later and he had a repeat all-day operation. Eight years later he had a third craniotomy for a cyst that had developed, opening the skull in the same way again for another all-day operation. If you met him today you'd never know he'd had three brain operations except for a scar. I wish Ted Kennedy had the same type of tumor as my dad - a meningioma - which are the most operable an dtreatable from what I udnerstand. I am praying for him and his family - he's been a great statesman.

@Jeff S., I am sorry to hear about your Dad but he sounds like a trooper. Thanks for leaving a comment.

Most importantly I want to pray that Mr. Kennedy gets saved (if he isn't already). The news said he may have less than a year to live.

@Mike ... absolutely and good reminder. Pray for salvation or if he is already saved to draw closer to the Lord and that his family find comfort in the Lord.

    Randy,
Author and speaker John Bevere was on a TV program last week. He has written a new book: Honor's Reward, where he shows how honoring God, secular leaders, even our enemies is a mandate from God. I haven't read it yet but if it's as good as some of his other writings, well... Although I may not have agreed with a lot of Senator E. Kennedy's political positions, he has been a champion for better healthcare and other important and needed legislation that never would have been passed by conservatives. It's awesome to try and fathom that no leader [whomsoever] comes into power without God's hand of providence. When we revile leaders we are in essence resisting God. May the Lord meet the unmet need in Sen. Kennedy's life and family.
