ETC: Everyday Thoughts Collected: Who Am I Going to Cheer for in the Super Bowl?

  • Jeremy · 1 year ago
Usually, I cheer for the NFC.
But this year, I really like the Patriots. (And they also beat your Cowboys, if you remember)

Being an Eagles fan, I tend to cheer against any of the NFCEast, (Dallas, New [Jersey], and Washington). (And if people recall, the Patriots beat my Eagles in the SuperBowl several years ago)

Now here is yet another layer of complexity into the Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com Football Analysis:
Tom Brady, the Patriots Quarterback went to the University of Michigan (The Gilby Family Alma Mater)
Teddy Bruschi, the Patriots Middle Linebacker went to the University of Arizona (The home of Jeremy-Gilby-dot-com.)

Or you can just watch a good football game. In those cases, I like cheering for both defenses.

But do enjoy it. I will be cheering the Patriots.

::: grrrr ::: yes I know that they also beat the Cowboys.

BUT I didn't know all that other vital information. Thank you for letting me know so I can make a fully informed decision on who to cheer for :).

As a true Saints fan, I always root for the underdog. You never get more underdog than the Saints who have never been to the Super Bowl. However, Archie Manning "a Christian" whose jersey(8) has been retired, has never been to the Super Bowl, but both of his sons have. So I am sticking with the Manning family. Go Eli and the Giants!!! Should be a good game. (if my wife lets me watch...)hahaha (Bev's typing...)
