Who Am I Going to Vote for Tomorrow?

Started by Randy · 10 months ago

I have mentioned that I am going to support Huckabee. Since then I have had serious reservations about his foreign policy knowledge and plan. Basically, because of these concerns, I have shut up about the whole mess.
But … the primary is tomorrow. I am still supporting ... Continue reading »

  • What are your concerns about McCain? I've heard he leans toward being a liberal Republican but I don't know on what issues. And what do you mean by 'same old DC political games'? Guess I should do some of my own research. But for now, I'll ask you what you know. :-)

  • He is the one who wanted to pass McCain Feingold to hold back individuals from sponsoring political ads in a certain amount of time before an election ( criticized as oppressing freedom of speech.)

Last year he sponsored the bill that would give citizenship to illegal aliens already here in the states.

He is solid pro-life but not really on my train of thought concerning homosexuality and public policy. My experience in watching him is watching a man who does political maneuvering just like everyone else. I respect his service and testimony but I don't trust that he is any different than anyone else in DC.

I would highly recommend you do your own investigation. My friend came to very different conclusions than I have.
  • Randy, I'm like you. I'm very undecided....but at least I have time to mull it over. Our primary is still a ways off. You have to act today. It will be interesting to see who Florida picks. From what I've heard, your governor is very popular and he is endorsing McCain. That might cause him to win over Romney. I think Huckabee has been running for vice-president all along. And if McCain is the nominee, Huckabee might get it. But not if Romney is the nominee. Two "religous" candidates will turn off too many voters. Frankly, I have yet to see the ideal candidate this time. Much prayer for our nation is needed.
  • Hi Nick. It is great to see you here. I am not surprised Crist is pulling for McCain but I have to tell you ... on the ground here... we are alllllll over the place. The whole state is buzzing about this. Hopefully by the time the primaries get to you the field will be paired down some more :).

I agree with you about the two religious candidates as well. I would agree.
