ETC: Everyday Thoughts Collected: Witnessing Unconditional Love And Conviction - Ask It Basket

Ya know, when I lived rebelliously for more years than I care to admit, I did not look, act, talk, or in any way resemble a Christian. I surprised my friends of that time by identifying myself as a Christian. And yet I was, I am, forever.

And in those years, God blessed me with 3 friends who totally got and lived unconditional love for me. The rest of my friends scorned and judged, and abandoned me to my ways. I got that, but it still hurt.

The faithful friends didn't *not* say hard truths if they needed saying, but above all made visible their love for me, no matter what. God further blessed me by allowing me, later!, to thank those 3 friends for their faithfulness, their obedience and their transparent love. They taught me much by their living example of what a friend looks like.

One of these dear souls has had my back for over 36 years now...faithfully praying for me. Wow. I need to send him another "thank you", and thank God, again, for this amazing friend.

that is very good to hear! I think you should send him another thank you. Encouragement is always a good idea ;). Thanks for sharing this part of your testimony.

I don't want to be a nag, but When was this conference call? I think it'd be a really helpful thing for struggling youth to read, and look forward to it being up at exodusyouth.net also! :)

You said you'd post it after the conference call. I figured the call had already happened..to be fair, you didn't specify a specific time frame for after, and you're a very busy man!
